Manford Gibson

Manford Gibson, son of the late George and Verdee Privett, was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky on April 19, 1944 and departed this life on August 5, 2006 at the age of 62 years. He was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Baugh Gibson of Somerset, five sons, Manford Gibson, Jr. of Neon, Kentucky, Sammy Wayne Gibson of Florida, George Gibson of Somerset, Elmer Gibson of Indiana and Harold Gene Gibson of Colson, Kentucky, a daughter, Lisa Carol Hatton of Jeramiah, Kentucky, a half brother, Dewey Wayne Privett, three sisters, Hattie Johnson and Cathleen Gibson both of Georgie, Kentucky and Aldie Lunford of Jenkins, Kentucky, a half sister, Rosetta Jent of Colson, Kentucky, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Tony Gibson, two brothers, Holbert Gibson and R.D. Gibson and three sisters, Hassie Gibson, Cordie Thompson and Juanita Thompson. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Aker officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
