Thelma Mae Dye, 90, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on June 20, 1919, daughter of the late George and Florida Todd Bishop. She was a homemaker and a seamstress at Palm Beach. She was a member of Lockland Church of Christ. She is survived by one daughter, Donna & (Dale) Whitaker of Somerset, one sister, Evelyn Surber of Eubank, four grandchildren, Bryan & (Sherry) Whitaker, Jason & (Amber) Whitaker, Christina Lane and Kevin & (Katie) Lane, four great-grandchildren, Summer Whitaker, Garrett Whitaker, Paige Whitaker and Aubrey Whitaker, son-in-law, Dorman & (Rosie) Lane of Nancy and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Radford Dye, one daughter, Janie Lane, two brothers, George Bishop and Marvin Bishop, two sisters, Edith Tyree and Ruth French and one great-grandchild, Avery Whitaker. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, March 22, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Danny McKibben officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Science Hill Garden Club. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
