Marion E. Evans, 65, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on August 9, 1944, son of the late Glen and Edith Bishop Evans. He was a farmer, truck driver and co-founder of Dabney Feed Supply. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Marion loved to camp, fish and work in his garden.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara McKinney Evans of Eubank, two sons, Marion Eugene Evans Jr. & (his fiancé, Misty Mason) of Somerset and Glen Burge & (his fiancé, Linda Bryant) of Brodhead, KY, two daughters, Debbie Bullock of Eubank and Mona & (Wayne) Taylor of Somerset, one step daughter, Paula Jean & (Mike) Silvers of Somerset, four sisters, Velma & (Allen) Burton, Mabel & (Bill) Denney and Ada & (Don) Eaton, all of Somerset and Donna Sheehan of Lexington, sister-in-law, Jewel Evans of Somerset, eight grandchildren, Shenoah Hood, Eric McKinney, Jordan Taylor, Luke Burge, Logan McClure, Tausha Bryant, Hunter Mason and Taylor Mason, three step grandchildren, Lindsey Silvers, Kailey Silvers and Lacey Silvers, three great-grandchildren, Austin Hood, Riley McKinney and Ciley McKinney and very special friend "Crip", his dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donald Evans and one sister, Ruth Isla.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating.
Burial will be in Evans Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
