Clifford D. Adams

Clifford D. Adams, 71, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at his residence. He was born January 13, 1939 in Squib, KY, the son of the late Gene Othel and Mossie (Dugger) Adams. He was a heavy equipment operator for Ikerd & Bandy Coal Co. and a member of the Chimney Rock Baptist Church. He enjoyed life, his family and friends. He is survived by three daughters, Gaylene & (Scott) Abrams of Somerset, Patsy & (Bo) Hicks of Louisville, Laura Adams of Somerset, two brothers, Lando & (Shirley) Adams of Somerset, Jimmy & (Diane) Adams of Greenwood, IN, a sister, Betty & (Lawrence) Mize of Clayton, IN, two grandchildren, Aaron & (Tabitha) Smith of Somerset, Holly Smith of Louisville, several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia Marie "Ginny" (Hudson) Adams, who died on January 19, 2008, two brothers, Wathe and Onie Pete Adams, four sisters, Louise Adams, Geneva Woodrum, Elma Hibbard, Juanita Dykes. A graveside service will be 12 pm Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Whitaker Cemetery with Bro. Don Arthur officiating. Burial will be in the Whitaker Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:30 am Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
