Doris A. (Wiles) Blevins

Doris A. (Wiles) Blevins, daughter of the late Silas and Cora (Moore) Wiles, was born on March 8, 1921 and departed this life on Friday, August 25, 2006 at the age of 85 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Philip C. Blevins of Science Hill; a special nephew, Elwood Wiles of King Bee, KY; three grandchildren, Patricia Adams of King Bee, KY; Regina Thomas and Dewayne Blevins, both of Pine Knot, KY; five 1/2 brothers, Wayne, Eugene, Glen, Don and Joe Wiles; three 1/2 sisters, Elsie Sue Kirby, Janice Blake and Kay Vickers, all of Berea, KY; a sister-in-law, Mary Wiles of Shady Grove, KY; also surviving are four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Blevins; a brother, Lloyd Wiles and a 1/2 brother, Dale Wiles. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2006 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wiles, officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
