Darrell Desmond Roberts

Darrell Desmond Roberts, 74, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Jabez, Kentucky on May 27, 1935, son of the late Hugh Zelmar and Mamie Alice Turner Roberts. He was a retired truck driver. He is survived by four sons, Darwin & (Marilyn) Roberts of Jamestown, KY, Kevin Roberts of Naples, FL, Scott Roberts of Elko, NV and Jeffery & (Margaret) Roberts of Corbin, KY, five daughters, Melanie & (Joe) Taylor of Somerset, Shari & (Roger) Donovan of Clarksville, TN, Sheila Wallis of Kermit, TX, Stephanie & (Allen) Steadham of Odessa, TX and Erica & (Michael) Bek of Little Rock, AR, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Trenton Roberts. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Roberts Cemetery. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
