Edgar Ray White

Edgar Ray White, 53, of Burnside, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on July 12, 1956, son of Lewis Edward White and the late Mae Fern Burton Winand. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having retired after 23 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Science Hill. He is survived by his wife, Betty Loveless White, whom he married on May 10, 2010, his father, Lewis Edward & (Emma) White of Science Hill, one son, Jermiah White, one daughter, Loryn Johnson, two step sons, James Viars and Jessie Walters II, all of Somerset, two brothers, Tully & (Jodie) White of PA and Wesley & (Annette) White of FL, one sister, Kathy White Hines of Science Hill and one grandchild, Zakna Fein Wilson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Fern Burton Winand and one step son, Justin Ray Walters. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Massey officiating. Visitation will be after 10 AM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial will be on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Mill Springs National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
