William "Bill" Warren, 86, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his residence.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on February 20, 1924, son of the late George and Maggie Hall Warren. He was owner of Warren's Carpet Store. He was also a school bus driver for Pulaski County Transportation. William was a member of Denham Street Baptist Church and enjoyed years of singing as the Warren Family and the Gospel Four. He was a World War II Army veteran. William was a big fan of Cincinnati Reds baseball.
He is survived by his wonderful, loving wife, Mildred "Mem" Smith Warren with whom he had a blessed marriage for 20 years, one son, David & (Deloris) Warren of Somerset, two daughters, Debbie & (Bob) Troxell of Somerset and Donna Byrd of Russell Springs, two sisters, Jolly Luttrell of Elizabethtown, KY and Katherine Bullock of Science Hill and two brothers, Ernest Warren and Millard Warren, both of Somerset, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Warren, his parents, five sisters, Viola Mink, Helen White, Virginia Warren, Ann Warren and Joyce Warren and four brothers, Hershel Warren, Willard Warren, James Warren and Thomas Warren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bill C. Phelps, Bro. Ernie White and Bro. David Bullock officiating.
Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
