Jessie Elvis Anderson

Jessie Elvis Anderson, 84, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Britthaven Nursing Home. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on November 4, 1925, son of the late William Trumie and Naomi Smith Anderson. He was a wood worker and an employee for Ed Buis Appliance. He was a member of Parlor Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sally Lee Evans Anderson of Waynesburg, two sons, Randall & (Sherry) Anderson and Marty & (Shirley) Anderson, both of Eubank, one daughter, Eileen & (Arthur) Roberts of Eubank, four step daughters, Judy & (Lyndell) Sims of Kings Mt. and Jean & (Fred) Padgett, Rita Slone and Carnetta Collins, all of Waynesburg, one brother, Paul Anderson of Summit, IN, two sisters, Mary Simpson and Shirley Sutton, both of Eubank, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Haste Anderson, whom he married on January 21, 1951 and who died on January 31, 1981, his parents, two brothers, Rue Anderson and Arlie Anderson and one sister, Laura Singleton. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Mullins, Bro. Troy Roberts and Bro. Ray Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
