Homer O. Lefler, 84, of the Pulaski community, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Pulaski, Kentucky on February 15, 1926, son of the late Homer J. and Ada Osborne Lefler. He was a farmer and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Buncombe Baptist Church and attended Ansel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell Bertram Lefler of Eubank, one son, Jeff & (Tammy) Lefler of Science Hill, five daughters, Patricia & (Ron) Teeple of Lexington, KY, Barbara & (Paul) Dick of London, KY, Mary & (Roger) Hall of Science Hill, Marcia & (Kenneth) Gumm of Somerset and Beverly & (Gerald) Cox of Science Hill, three sisters, Virginia Neeley of Science Hill, Edith Campbell of Mt. Zion and Lucy Lefler of Science Hill, six grandchildren, Jeremy L. Hall, Kenneth Gumm III, Carrie Cundiff, Amanda Dick, Kyle Lefler and Jarod Cox and one great-grandson, Brayden Gumm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Richard Lefler and five sisters, Anna Lee Cloud, Beatrice Lefler, Tina Gregory, Dot Dick and Lena Cox.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Childers officiating.
Burial will be in Lefler Family Cemetery in the Pulaski community.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or The Pulaski County Humane Society.
