Alberta Mae "Bertie" Cook, 75, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born in Naomi, Kentucky on April 5, 1935, daughter of the late George Luther and Pearl Frances Marcum Dagley. She was a cook for Thelma Weddle and attended Valley View Church of God.
She is survived by two sons, Michael L. Dagley of Eubank and Ronnie Dean & (Mary) Dagley of Somerset, three daughters, Carol & (Robert) Cook of Mt. Zion, KY and Sandra & (Gregory) Parker and Sharon L. Dishon, both of Science Hill, one brother, James D. & (Linda) Dagley of Naomi, KY, two sisters, Maxine Wright and Georgie Faye & (Charles) Keeney, both of Nancy, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Cook, her parents, four brothers, Robert Lee Dagley, Junior J. Dagley, Gerald Gene Dagley and Gordon C. Dagley, two sisters, Ruth Marie Albert Nicholas and Betty Ann Ard Boyce and one granddaughter, Christi Cook.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday, July 16, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Fetter Wilder officiating.
Burial will be in Tarter Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
