Lannis L.D. "Doug" Eubank

Lannis L.D. "Doug" Eubank, 74, of Spring City, Tennessee, formerly of Eubank, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Mercy West Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee after a short illness with lung cancer. He was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky on October 9, 1935, son of the late Sherod and Pauline Saylor Eubank. Doug served four years in the National Guard and Army. He retired from Procter & Gamble after 32 years in Cincinnati, OH. He then moved to Spring City, Tennessee where he enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lena Littrell Eubank, whom he married on November 17, 1956, one son, Tim & (Teri) Eubank of Spring City, TN, three grandchildren, Bobby McKeehan of Corbin, KY, Travis Eubank, now stationed in Iraq and Trista Eubank of Spring City, TN, one brother, James & (Brenda) Eubank of Richmond, KY, one sister, Jan & (John) Farley of Science Hill and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Kimberly McKeehan, granddaughter, Katie McKeehan, six brothers, Chester, Forest, Lonnie, Sherod Jr., John and Casper and three sisters, Nell, Opal and Midge. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Dunaway officiating. Burial will be in Griffin Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
