Junior Bryant, 63, of Orange, Texas, formerly of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at Renaissance Hospital in Groves, Texas. He was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on September 27, 1946, son of the late Homer Mitchell and Anna Mae Whitaker Bryant Sr. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, was a pipe fitter and welder in ship yards. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Deweyville in Deweyville, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Abby Gale Gill Bryant, three daughters, Anna Bryant LeBlanc, Scooter Laird and Misty Barefield all of Orange Texas, one brother, Gene & (Betty) Bryant of Somerset, four sisters, Judy & (Ken) Nothstien of Eubank, Binky & (Jack) Jacobs of Waynesburg, Donna Yocum of Kings Mountain and Jennifer Bryant of Eubank, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Family Worship Center in Waynesburg with Bro. David Harris officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #18. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 12 Noon Thursday at the church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
