Vertie B Bloomer

Vertie B Bloomer, 99, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Britthaven Nursing Home. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on November 26, 1910, daughter of the late Virgil and Mary Bell Mercer Hardgrove. She was a farmer and homemaker. She was a member of Etna Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, James Carroll & (Marilyn) Bloomer of Bedford, TX and Donald & (Rhonda) Bloomer of Somerset, daughter-in-law, Lela Bloomer, ten grandchildren, Jill Benavides, Scott Bloomer, Judy Terry, Ruby Todd, Shelia Coleman, David Sanders, Carl R. Bloomer, Kenny Bloomer, Macy R. Bloomer and Elliot C. Bloomer and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Edward Bloomer, her parents, one son, Carl V. Bloomer, one daughter, Marilyn Sanders, one sister, Irene Crawford, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price and Bro. Mickey Ray officiating. Burial will be in Etna Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 AM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
