Bro. Robert Lee Ashley

Bro. Robert Lee Ashley, 69, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on August 31, 1940, son of the late Virgil and Sarah Ellen Shelton Ashley. He was a minister and a member of Elrod First Church of God. He is survived by three sons, Terry & (Donna) Ashley of Eubank, Tony & (Vicki) Ashley and Tim & (Angela) Ashley, both of Somerset, five brothers, James William Ashley and Delmer Ashley, both of Ohio, Glenn Ashley of Nancy, Leo Ashley of Somerset and Bobby Ashley of Eubank, three sisters, Brenda Caldwell and Linda Padgett, both of Eubank and Patsy Dick of Kings Mt., two grandchildren, Brian Simpson and Chris & (April) Simpson and three great-grandchildren, Chad Simpson, Emily Simpson and Elijah Simpson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Bryant Ashley, who died on April 9, 2005 and his parents. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
