Bro. Harold C. Carter

Bro. Harold C. Carter, son of the late Loranza and Cora Justice Carter, was born in Eubank, Kentucky on March 10, 1926 and departed this life on October 24, 2006 at the age of 80 years. He was a school teacher for 35 years, a director of pupil personnel, assistant superintendent and a finance director for the Pulaski County School System. He was past minister of the Eubank Church of Christ where he is a member and he had a radio ministry on WSFC for 31 years. He was a minister for 47 years before retirement. He also worked for Morris & Hislope Funeral Home for 15 years and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII having attained the rank of Sgt. 1st class. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ellen Whitter Carter of Eubank, whom he married on June 9, 1947, a son, Danny D. & (Frances) Carter of Eubank, three sisters, Colleen Dobbs of Lexington, Cloa & (Arthur) Fulton of Harrodsburg and Clarice & (Harold) Reece of Chicago, Illinois, two brothers, Gerald & (Linda) Carter of Eubank and Kenneth & (Norma) Carter of Alexander, Kentucky and sixteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gary C. Carter and two brothers, T.J. Carter and Curtis Carter. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 27, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Dunaway, Bro. Ferlin Price and Bro. Curt Herrington officiating. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests donations be made to Eubank Church of Christ or Eubank Cemetery.
