Doris Dungan Green, daughter of the late A.R. "Dahl" and Dora Vanhook Dungan, was born in Somerset, Kentucky on January 18, 1927 and departed this life on October 30, 2006 at the age of 79 years.
She was a retired home economics teacher in Maryland.
She is survived by a stepson, Richard Green of Seattel, Washington, two sisters, Frances Dungan Eicher of Florida and Helen Dungan Phillips of Mississippi, a special friend, Murlie Wesley and numerous nieces and nephews including John, Georgie, Bill Joe, Bob, Barbara, Beverly, Laura, Lenny, Ike, Francie, Lenor, Bill Gum, Sheila, Mary Frances, Paul, Peggy, Gail and Jim.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Green, her parents and two brothers, Frank Dungan and James A. Dungan.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
