Ruby Mae Gentry

Ruby Mae Aleshire Gentry, 77, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Long Acre, West Virginia on December 7, 1932, daughter of the late Emmitt and Kathleen Snead Aleshire. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, Stephen Wayne Gentry and Jerry Lee Gentry, both of Somerset, one daughter, Gail & (Robin) Stilts of Eubank, five grandchildren, Melinda Campbell, Kimberly Barlow, Alan Stilts, Kevin Stilts and Kayla Gentry, six great-grandchildren, Andrew Stilts, Lexi Stilts, Wyatt Stilts, Leah Stilts, Levi Stilts and Kaden Campbell, two sisters, Phyllis Harless of Virginia and Sue Stephens of West Virginia and one brother, Paul Aleshire of West Virginia She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Gentry, whom she married on December 30, 1952 and who died on February 11, 2004, her parents, one daughter, Kathy Sue Smith, four brothers, Billy and Larry Aleshire, who died in infancy, Jack Aleshire and Ben Aleshire and two sisters, Mary Lou Latham and Virginia Keeney. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Fairview Church of Christ with Bro. Curt Herrington officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 11 AM Saturday at Fairview Church of Christ. Donations may be made to the Fairview Cemetery Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
