Marie White

Marie White, 96, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010 at Britthaven Nursing Home. She was born in the Shady Grove Community on December 2, 1913, daughter of the late Alfred and Hulda Whiles Wesley. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by two sisters, Lacie Hudson of Batavia, OH and Virginia Sweet of Mt. Carmel, OH, a special niece and caregiver, Jada & (Milford) Warren, sister-in-law, Christine Wesley of Ohio and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry White, her parents, two brothers, Claude Wesley and Marvin Wesley and three sisters, Lena Warren, Irene Hall and Vina Sweet. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Science Hill Cemetery Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
