Ruby Marie Dixon

Ruby Marie Dixon, 95, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Benham, Kentucky on September 13, 1915, daughter of the late William Bradley "W.B." and Malinda Hodge Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Olive Baptist Church. She is survived by two nieces, whom she raised, Janice Carter of Eubank and Malinda Pennington of Metamora, IN and one nephew, Steve Brown of Cincinnati, OH, sister-in-law, Christine Brown of Cincinnati, OH, half brother, William Clyde "W.C." Brown of Pennington Gap, VA and four generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve A. Dixon, whom she married on December 24, 1937 and who died on August 2, 2003, her parents, one brother, Elmer Brown and one sister, Georgia Grace. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
