Madge (Brittain) McWilliams

Madge (Brittain) McWilliams, 94, formerly of the Good Hope community, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was born in Good Hope, Kentucky on January 28, 1916, daughter of the late Franklin Hiram and Hannah Stepp Brittain. She was a homemaker and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Roger & (Mary Jo) McWilliams of Science Hill, four grandchildren, Lisa, Sue, Tammy and Kelly, seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl McWilliams, whom she married on August 20, 1936 and who died on March 27, 2002, her parents, one son, Jerry McWilliams, six brothers, Earl, Estill, Henry, Clyde, Carl, who died in infancy and Harold and two sisters, Ethel and Rebecca. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, November 29, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 Noon Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
