Edwin M. Henderson, 79, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on May 5, 1931, son of the late Edgar and Bessie Tarter Henderson. He was a farmer and on the Pulaski County Board of Education. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Alvena Wells Henderson, two sons, Larry & (Eula) Henderson and Dale & (Shirley) Henderson, all of Eubank, two daughters, Beverly & (Sam) Morgan of Bronston and Brenda & (Raymond) Hranicky of Somerset, nine grandchildren, Jason & (Kristen) Henderson, Jaci & (Reece) Turner, Cori & (Chris) Smallwood, Michael Henderson, Megan Henderson, Stephanie Head, Susan Mink, Brandon Hranicky and Sarah Hranicky, six great-grandchildren, Logan Randall, Maddox Mink, Grayson Turner, Charlie Turner, Xander Metz and Blake Henderson, two brothers, Linville Henderson of Eubank and Libren Henderson of Stanford, KY and three sisters, Stella Ard of Nancy, Geneva Sanders of Stanford, KY and Marlene Rice of Danville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Deliney Henderson, Elba Henderson and Amel Henderson and two sisters, Mildred Burchette and Zelma Hall.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Philip Fisher officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 1 PM Thursday at Bethel Baptist Church.
