Charles R. Rutherford

Charles R. Rutherford, 78, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on March 20, 1932, son of the late Oscar and Mary Birt Rutherford. He was a custodian for the Pulaski County School System. He is survived by two sons, Jerry Rutherford and George Rutherford, both of Somerset, two daughters, Lillie Hines of Eubank and Sherri Barney of Somerset, one brother, Ford Rutherford of Eubank, two sisters, Emma Wilson and Alberta Levine, both of Eubank, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Brenda Blevins, three brothers, Clarence Rutherford, Robert Rutherford and Glenn Rutherford and three sisters, Della Hall, Nannie Mae and Nellie Nevels. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Charles R. Rutherford Memorial Fund, C/O Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
