George Alfred Jasper, 87 of the Mintonville community, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Born in Yosemite, Kentucky on May 1, 1919, son of the late William Terrell and Betty Tilford Jasper. He was a farmer and of the Methodist faith.
Maxine Rainwater Jasper, 84 of Science Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002 at Britthaven Nursing Home.
Born in Mintonville, Kentucky on August 22, 1917, daughter of the late Herbert and Della Gosser Rainwater. She was a landscape artist and of the Methodist faith.
They were married in September of 1937 and are survived by three daughters, Cecelia "Cece" & (Tom) Butcher of Somerset and Theresa & (Stephen) Bean and Sandra & (Larry) Wingfeld both of Dayton, Ohio and five grandchildren, Matthew Dalton of Nancy and Lauren Gould, Christopher Gould, Nathan Bean and Erin Bean all of Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters, Beecher & (Margaret) Rainwater, Alma & (Grady) Meece, Winnie & (Omer) Collins, Myrtle & (Omer) Drake, Alpha & (Charles) Mullins, Richard & (Charlotte) Rainwater and Edward & (Thelma) Rainwater.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brothers and sisters, Harold & (Tressia) Jasper, Phillip & (Nanny) Jasper, Sally & (Lee) Godby and Ruth & (Cliff) Gibson.
A memorial service and celebration for the lives of George and Maxine Rainwater Jasper will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bernie Manning and Rev. Dana Hardwick officiating. Musical selections will be performed by Pauline House, Tom Minton and Eileen Riechard.
Visitation will be from 1 - 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Private burial will be held at a later date at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
