Maurice Denver Landers

Maurice Denver Landers, 68, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Henderson Hospital Hospice Unit in Henderson, KY. He was born in Newport, Tennessee on June 3, 1942, son of the late Denver and Minnie Norton Landers. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a retired construction worker. He was a member of Finley's Baptist Church in Henderson. He is survived by one brother, Harold & (Bonnie) Landers of Somerset, one sister, Barbara Baker of Waddy, KY, nephews, Richard and Chris Landers and nieces, Stacy Newton and Laura Seacrest. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Alfred Landers and two stillborn sons. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Burke officiating. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 10 AM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice in Henderson, KY. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
