M.T. Jasper

M.T. Jasper, son of the late Willie and Sarah Frances Jasper, was born in Mintonville, Kentucky on October 17, 1923 and departed this life on December 15, 2006 at the age of 83 years. He was owner of Jasper Contracting and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Lorene Gossett Jasper, whom he married on July 13, 1948, two sons, Allen Hoy Jasper and Boyd Donald & (Lisa) Jasper, both of Science Hill, two brothers, Luther Jasper of Spokane, Washington and Danny Jasper of Jasper, Indiana, four sisters, Mable Doan of Demorest, Georgia, Collene Langford of St. Petersburg, Florida, Wilma Gooch of Lexington and Lillian Heins of Rupert, Idaho, four grandchildren, Michelle Jasper, Jason Goodin, M.T. Jasper and Adam Jasper, five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Heather, Justin, Brianna and Kayla and a special nephew, Richard "Mike" Drew of Science Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clyde Jasper and Lowell Jasper and one sister, Pauline Snyder. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, December 18, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Lawrence Golden officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
