Martha (Mercer) Sluss

Martha (Mercer) Sluss, of Waynesburg, KY, the daughter of the late Richard "R.T." & Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Shafer) Mercer, was born on July 28, 1916 and departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006 at the age of 90 years. She was a retired office employee for General Motors and a member of the Eubank Church of Christ. She is survived by a brother, Lewis Mercer of Waynesburg, KY, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Morton Sluss; four brothers, Ernest, John, Chester and Leonard; six sisters, Nettie, Nellie, Helen, Elsie, Onnie and Lou. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery, Winchester, Ohio. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 at the funeral home until after funeral services. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
