William Robert "Shot Gun" Book, 67, of Eubank, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 at the St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, TN. He was born on Dec. 17, 1939 in Johnston City, ILL. He was a truck driver for Mam-Zak Trucking in Alabama and a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Jane Barron Book., his mother, Jeannette Vaughn, of Carterville Illinois; one son, Randy Book of Marion Ky; three daughters, Rhonda Gruett, of Lake Station IN; Roxanne Book, and Ricki Book, both of Morton, IL; one brother, James "Jim" Vaughn of Carterville, IL; 7 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild; his step-mother, Marge Book, of Morton, IL; two step daughters, Tonua Marie Barron of Somerset; Tammy Lynn Longest of Indiana; 2 step-granddaughters, Alyssa and Autumn, both of Indiana; two goddaughters, Anessa and Marlayna, both of Eubank; several nieces and nephews; four great nieces, Heather and Courtney Parks, both of London, KY; Ashley Gladfelter and Haleigh Reynolds, both of Panama City, FL. One sister-in-law, Judy Book, of Hobart, IN. He was preceded in death by a son, Rusty Book; a brother, Russell Book; his father, Robert Book; a step-father, George Vaughn; and a great niece, Hannah Culberson. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, with Bro. Bennie Bush, officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery, Waynesburg, KY. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
