Jerry D. Owens, 56, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007 in Lexington, KY. He was born in Jabez, Kentucky on October 9, 1950, a son of Dolly Mae (Bolin) Owens and the late Herbert Owens. He is survived by his mother, Dolly Mae Owens of Somerset, three sons, Jeffrey Owens of New Castle, IN, Kevin Owens of Souix Falls, SD and Jerry Ray Douglas of Russell Springs, KY, one daughter, Lana J. Owens of Indianapolis, IN, two stepsons, Manuel Corrall and Eddie Corrall both of Somerset, one stepdaughter, Karen Corrall of Somerset, four brothers, Phillip & (Mary) Owens of Russell Springs, Cletius Owens of Monticello, KY, Gene & (Twyona) Owens of Russell Springs, KY and Timothy & (Glenda) Owens of Monticello, KY, three sisters, Eudean & (Billy) Adkins of Clinton Co., KY, Vickie & (Rosevall) Jones of Parkers Lake, KY and Becky Moon of Clinton Co., KY, five grandchildren, Spring Owens of Bicknell, IN, Deserae Ankrom of Indianapolis, IN, Nakai Ankrom of Moreland, IN, Cole Owens of New Castle, IN and Hannah Owens of Souix Falls, SD, thirteen nieces, sixteen nephews, sixteen grandnieces and twenty two grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his father, one son, Baby Boy Owens, one grandson, Alexan'draye Adkins and two granddaughters, Alexan'draya Adkins and Ron'Azia Owens. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Morris officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery in Jabez, KY. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
