Robert "Bob" Godby

Robert "Bob" Godby, 86, Science Hill, passed away Monday, January 29, 2007 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on October 7, 1920, son of the late Harvey Printis and Addie Pearl Taylor Godby. He was retired from the Pulaski County Road Department and the Pulaski County Detention Center. He is survived by six children, Joyce & (Joe) Wesley of Somerset, Brenda Godby, Sue & (Charlie) Woodall, Ronald & (Debra) Godby and Donald & (Karla) Godby all of Cincinnati, Ohio and Gena & (Jesse) Clines of Somerset, two sisters, Cecelia Wesley of Spring Hill, Florida and Darlene Waddle of Somerset, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Ella Christine Wilson Godby, his parents, one son, Wallace Douglas Godby, who died in infancy, one brother, Vandair Godby and two sisters, Eva Wildes and Thelma Lee Godby, who died in infancy. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, February 1, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill with Bro. C.E. Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Science Hill. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
