Arlie (Jones) Adams

Mrs. Arlie (Jones) Adams, 87, a native of Casey County and a long-time resident of the Estesburg Community, passed away Monday, January 29, 2007 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. She was born in Bethel Ridge, Kentucky on September 5, 1919, daughter of the late Samuel and Alma Wesley Jones. She was a retired school teacher for the Pulaski County School System and a member of Science Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Neil & (Renee) Adams of Paducah, Kentucky and Halbert & (Sandy) Adams of Katy, Texas, four sisters, Jessie Dungan of Eubank, Libby Padgett of Burnside, Betty Smallwood of Waynesburg and Alice Floyd of Eubank, four grandchildren, Krista, Shawnda, Kevin and Tamara and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Adams, whom she married in 1943 in Newport, KY and who died on November 13, 1999, her parents and three brothers, Henry, Harris and Cleaver Jones. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill with Bro. Troy Poff officiating. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 10 AM Monday, February 5, 2007 at Mill Springs National Cemetery. The family requests that expressions of symathy go to The Gideons International, American Alzheimers Association or Berea College. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
