Josephine Dorothy Simpson, 68, passed away Friday, February 17, 2007 at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.
She was born in Camden, New Jersey on January 16, 1939, daughter of Paul and Dorothy Boncz. She was a homemaker. She married the love of her life, James Simpson on January 29, 1956. After moving quite a bit due to his Navy career, they settled in Jacksonville, Florida in February of 1960. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, James Franklin Simpson, eight children, John Simpson, Pamela & (Mike) Morris, Dottie & (Paul) Gray, James & (Susan) Simpson, Nancy Simpson, Diana Warrah, Ann & (Dan) Rose and Daniel Simpson, twenty five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three brothers, Kim Boncz, Paulie Boncz and John Koop and special friends, Maire & (Joe) Colvin and Janet & (Gary) Harrison.
She was a loving and benevolent woman who has left behind a permanent impression on those that knew her.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Simpson and Bro. Albert Simpson officiating.
Burial will be in Simpson Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
