Gladys (Dick) Arthur

Gladys (Dick) Arthur, 80 of Greenwood, Indiana, formerly of Somerset, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 18, 1926, daughter of the late Oscar C. and Catherine Dick. She had been employed by the state of Indiana as a clerk for 15 years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed puzzles and puzzle books. She is survived by three children, Debbie Bray of Morgantown, Indiana, Norene Sowders of Ohio and James Paul Arthur of Greenwood, Indiana, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Elbert Arthur, who died on December 19, 1973, her parents, one son, Boyce Wayne Dick and her brothers and sisters, Hobert, Marion, J.T., Boyd, Hester, Thelma and Bonnie. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 23, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill. Burial will be in Conrard Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Friday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
