William E. "Gene" Wesley

William E. "Gene" Wesley, 77 of Railroad Drive, Science Hill, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the residence of his son. He was born in Pulaski County on November 14, 1929, son of the late Luther and Nina Perry Wesley. He was retired from H.T. Hackney, a Science Hill City Councilman for more than 30 years and a member of Science Hill Church of the Nazarene. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served from 1950 to 1954. He is survived by his children, Terry & (Pauletta) Wesley, Jerry & (Sandy) Wesley and Frances Ann Watson all of Science Hill and Melanie Jean Dick of Somerset, two brothers, Bobby Wesley of Somerset and Joe Wesley of Indianapolis, IN six grandchildren, Christopher Watson, Jeffrey, Josh, Jordan and Roman Wesley and Samantha Jo Dick, one great-grandchild, Krisleigh Watson and special friend Kay Simpson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Dean Humble Wesley, his parents, one son-in-law, Howard "Butch" Watson and one brother, Carol Wesley. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill with Bro. Bob Hoots and Bro. Gene Wells officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy go to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
