Benjamin Franklin "Ben" Nelson

Benjamin Franklin "Ben" Nelson, 97 of Ben Nelson Rd., Eubank, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Eubank, KY, on January 27, 1910 to the late William Thomas "Tommy" and Martha Alice "Mattie" McWilliams Nelson. He was a retired farmer and a Ky Colonel. He became a Christian on Feb. 4, 2007. He is survived by one son, David & (Fran) Nelson of Springfield, Ohio; two daughters, Janice & (Wallace) Bertram of Acworth, GA and Paula Mullins of Science Hill; three grandchildren, Wray Jean Bertram of Acworth, GA, Tonia & (Josh) Wheeler of Centerville, Ohio and Rick Mullins of Lexington, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Margaret (Reynolds) Nelson, whom he married on March 13, 1937 and who died on December 30, 1998, his parents, two grandchildren, Laura Faye Nelson and Michael Lee Mullins, six sisters and one brother. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill with Bro. Dave Muse officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 pm Monday and after 8 am Tuesday at the funeral home, until after funeral services. The family request donations to be given to the Gideons Memorial Bible Plan. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
