Allene F. Blevins

Allene F. Blevins, 86, of Somerset, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born June 18, 1935 in Somerset; daughter of the late John & Grace (Prather) Muse. She worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach and was a long time member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She was known for sitting out on her porch and watching traffic and feeding her birds.

She is survived by her loving son, neighbor, and caregiver, Ricky Blevins of Somerset; two daughters, Jerelene Morrow of Louisville and Teri & (Arron) New of Somerset; three grandchildren, Marsha Morrow Bracken, Kenny Morrow, Jr., and a special grandchild. Terron J. New, with whom she had a very close relationship; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Blevins; her siblings; and a son, Bobby Allen Blevins.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Barker officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
