Alma Ruth Scott

Alma Ruth Scott. 76, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

 

She was born August 9, 1944 in Flat Rock, Kentucky; daughter of the late Mart & Beatrice (Powell) Bryant. She was a homemaker, mother, & wife of William Howard Scott, to whom she was united in marriage on May 15, 1964.

 

She is survived by her husband, William Howard Scott; two sons, William "Bill" & (Pam) Scott of Somerset and David Wayne & (Krystal) Scott of Auburn, Alabama; a daughter, Patricia & (Rick) Loveless of Somerset; a brother, J.C. Bryant & (Diana) Bryant of Tampa, Florida; a sister, Jean & (Gary) Stephens of Somerset; thirteen grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, Maddison, & Logan Scott, Tristan, Caitlyn, & Nicholas Scott, Ashley, Kayla, & Ricky Loveless, Chelsea & (Dylan) Strunk, and Courtney, Chloee Loveless; two great-grandchildren, James Warren & Hendrix Strunk; and several nieces & nephews.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, R.L. Bryant & Joseph Mart Bryant.

 

A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Sisson officiating.

 

Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to God's Food Pantry in Somerset.
