Anna Christine Wiles

Anna "Christine" Wiles, 81, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018.

She was born in Sloans Valley, Kentucky on May 1, 1937, daughter of the late John and Lestie Troxtel New. She retired from Palm Beach after 30 plus years of service and was a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church. She was known for always helping others and spending time with her children, grandchildren and special friends who she spent many years with at Palm Beach. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was known to have a green thumb and could make anything grow. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking for her entire family.

She is survived by her husband, Cressel Wiles, two sons, Mike & (Carrie) Wiles and Mark & (Trish) Wiles, Jan & (Derek) Brown, who was like the daughter she never had, one brother, Billy New, sisters, Maudie Helton, Dorothy Bradshaw, Linda Soldano and Cillis Campbell, grandchildren, Ashley and Nikki Branscum, Jordan Wiles, Mason & (Cassidy) Wiles, Clayton Wiles, Bram Wiles, Luke Wiles and Evie Jo Wiles, great-grandchildren, Avery, Presley and Cason Branscum, nephews, Chester & (Angela) Copeland and Charles Henderson, niece, Christie Bradshaw, many other nieces and nephews and a special cousin, June Estep.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dora Copeland, Brenda New, Pauline New, Cora Shulman, Frances Cox and Pearly Young and brothers, Floyd New, James New and Norman Dean New.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
