Anna Mae Hargis, 89, of Waynesburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at her residence.
She was born in Lincoln Co, KY on January 20, 1929, daughter of the late Isaac and Daisy Tackett Greer. She was retired from American Greeting in Danville. She was a member of the Eden Baptist Church.
Anna is survived by a son, Rothel Hargis of Waynesburg, a brother, Orbra Greer of Cincinnati, Ohio, a sister, Daisy June Sparkman of Hopkinsville, six grandchildren, Nikki, Brandon, Alisa, Kristin, Jordan and Ariel, eleven great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Brooke, Addie Mae, Frank, Camden, Kylie, Hailey, Hector, Matthew, Penelope and Johnny, several nieces and nephews, a special daughter-in-law, Fredericka and a special son-in-law, Donald.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Hargis, her parents, two sons, Darrell and George Wayne Hargis, three daughters, Kathy Rose, Wanda Kay and Katie Sue Hargis and a brother, Benjamin Greer.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Brad King officiating.
Burial will be in Eden Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
The family request donations to be expressed to Heritage Hospice or the Eden Cemetery Fund.
