Bernetta M. Abbott

Bernetta M. Abbott, 81, of Somerset, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was born February 2, 1942 in Bethelridge; daughter of the late William & Luella (Wesley) Watson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Northside Baptist Church. Bernetta enjoyed quilting, bird watching, puzzles, and word searches. She was the greatest mother her children could ever ask for.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas & (Melissa) Abbott and Bobby Joe & (Misty) Abbott, both of Somerset; two daughters, Patricia & (Tim) Walden and Rosemary & (Tank) Haste, both of Somerset; three siblings, Everette & (Lib) Watson, Jim & (Pat) Watson, and Joyce Wesley; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several neices & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tim C. Abbott; and her siblings, Delliah Louallen, Benny Watson, Deva Wilson, and Barthela Francis.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse and Bro. Scotty Nix officiating.

Burial will be in Campground Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
