Blaine Griffin

Blaine A. Griffin, 95, of Eubank, passed away, Friday, March 22, 2024, at his home.

He was born on March 30, 1928; son of the late Mitchell and Retna (Todd) Griffin. He retired from General Electric after nearly 32 years of service. He was a member of Science Hill Christian Church; enjoyed gardening, spending time in his garage, and was an excellent handyman - who was able to fix anything from mechanical to carpentry. He was a Combat Veteran of the Korean War, having service in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Lou (Emerson) Griffin, whom he married on January 8, 1955; his children, Steve Griffin, Scott & (Tonia) Griffin, Gretta Griffin, and Myron & (Norma Jean) Griffin; a brother, Verlon & (Ellen) Griffin; two grandchildren, Emily & (Nic) Jones and Blaine Austin Griffin; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Jones and Easton Jones; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Griffin and Devonda Griffin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Retna (Todd) Griffin; a grandson, Treyton Jones; brothers, Oather Griffin, VJ Griffin, Leroy Griffin, Elroy Griffin, Vaudie Griffin, Bernard Griffin, and Dean Griffin; sisters, Leona Whitis, June Roberts, JoAnn Davis, Loudema Saxson, Boneta Griffin, and Wilma Kelly.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Tracy Valentine officiating.

Burial will be in Salyers Cemetery - Casey Co.

The family will receive friends after 11 AM Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home until time for services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or a charity of your choice.
