Burnetta Ruth Keeney

Burnetta Ruth Wesley Keeney, 90, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born November 29, 1934 to Jesse & Minnie Gaddis Wesley of Ansel, Kentucky. She was a long time member of Rock Lick Baptist Church, where she and her husband worked with the youth groups for several years. She was employed at Lake Cumberland Medical Associates for 40 years before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John L. Keeney; her son, Russell Lee Keeney, two brothers, Clyde Wesley and Darrell Wesley; one sister, Nola Wesley Blevins; two brothers-in-law, Dewey Anderson and Glynn Blevins; and one sister-in-law, Joyce Wesley.

She is survived by two brothers, Joe Steven Wesley of Somerset, and Ronnie & (Geneva) Wesley of Science Hill; and two sisters, Janet Wesley Anderson and Brenda Wesley & (Vernon) Godby.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse officiating.

Burial will follow at Rock Lick Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until time for services at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
