Carol Hensley

Carol Ann Hensley, 87, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at her residence.

Carol was born on May 11, 1937, to the late John and Margaret (Dohn) Seidl in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Mount Mary College in 1959 and worked as an occupational therapist for many years. Carol enjoyed hiking, bowling, playing cards with her friends each week, and traveling. She was a very active parishioner at St. Mildred's Catholic Church and an alumna of the Somerset Newcomers Club.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Hensley (Eric Kennedy) and Vicky (Dave) Broome; her son, Jeff Hensley; grandchildren, Parker Kennedy, Kevin (Catherine) Broome, and Gina (Jimmy) Williams; great-granddaughter, Arya Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Hensley; her parents; and her siblings, Mary, Helen, John, Robert "Bob," Richard "Dick," Charles "Chuck," and Henry "Hank".

A Catholic Mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St. Mildred's Catholic Church, with Father Carlos Martinez officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services at St. Mildred's Catholic Church. The family will also receive friends after 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, until the time of services at 12 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home in South Lyon, Michigan.

Burial will follow at Saint John's Cemetery in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Everyone is encouraged to meet at the entry gates of the cemetery in order to safely travel from the funeral home to the cemetery.
