Charles R. Brown

Charles R. "Charley" Brown, 69, of Waynesburg, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 4, 1954 in Eubank; son of the late Charles Leon & Bessie Rachel (Shelton) Brown. He worked as maintenance for UGN and was a member of the Double Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by two brothers, Eddie & (Terry) Brown of Danville and Randy & (Patsy) Brown of Kings Mountain; sisters, Carol & (Robert) Williams of Waynesburg, Sharon & (Monty) Carney of Stanford, Rita & (Troy) Maddox of Hilton, New York, and Sheila & (Darrell) Lambert of Junction City, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Waylon Edward and Lavada Cameron.

He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Johnny Ray Brown, Greta Louise Brown, Evelyn Sue Stoddard, and Jimmy Dale Brown.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Monty Carney officiating.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Brown, Randy Brown, Darrell Lambert, Eric Brown, James Darrell "JD" Brown, Brady Brown, JD Brown, Zachery Brown, Robert Williams, Garry Dortch, and Troy Maddox.

Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
