Charles Henry Johnson passed away from this life Friday, July 29, 2022 at his home in Waynesburg, Kentucky surrounded by his loving family.
Charles was born February 21, 1945 to the late John Henry and Josephine (Thompson) Johnson of Pulaski County. He owned and operated Johnson's White Barn and Johnson's Septic Services. He also worked as an independent contractor. Charles enjoyed working on cars and he loved to hunt deer, especially with his brothers, when he had the biggest buck. He is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Mae (Middleton) Johnson of Waynesburg, Kentucky and three children, Billy Joe Petrey of Ottenheim, Kentucky, Jennifer Thomas of Liberty, Kentucky, and Randy Kidd of Waynesburg, Kentucky. He had three grandchildren, Charles Petrey of Ottenheim, Kentucky, Tamera Renie Thomas-Hamm of Richmond, Kentucky, and Rance Kidd of Liberty Kentucky; and two great-grandchildren, Eloise Gwyn Hamm and Brody Kidd. Charles has surviving three sisters, Oneida, Genevieve, and Darlene; and four brothers, Ray, Lewis, Garry, and Larry Johnson; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jean; and a younger brother, Robert Johnson.
Charles loved to work with his heavy equipment and to be of most help as he could for anyone as best as he could. He would say, "We will be together again someday, with the biggest smile, and a heart full of love".
