Clarence Donald Reynolds, 83, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born January 17, 1941 to the late Amos & Edith (Prows) Reynolds in Pulaski County, Kentucky. He worked for many years and retired from Lay-Simpson Furniture. A true outdoorsman at heart, Donald spent his life hunting, fishing, and exploring the natural world, always with a deep appreciation for its beauty. He cherished his role as a grandfather, often found spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride of his life. He was a member of Hazeldell Church of Christ and when he was able, he was always there as soon as the doors were opened.
He is survived by his daughter, Shirley & (Monroe) Hoskins; two grandchildren, Brittany & (Chris) Solomon and Donald & (Shy) Hoskins; three great-grandchildren, Marley Solomon, Easton Solomon, and Hensley Ray Hoskins; one great-grandchild on the way, Baby Hoskins; and one sister, Flora Deaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda Reynolds; and five siblings, Jim Reynolds, Mae Deaton, Carl Reynolds, Estil Reynolds, and Dalmas Reynolds.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 in the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodstock Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until time for services at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
