David Russell Emerson

May 4, 1932 — January 31, 2021

David Russell Emerson, 88, of Waynesburg passed away, Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born on May 4, 1932 in Casey County; son of the late Omer C. & Hala J. (Wesley) Emerson. He was a farmer and a United States Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Faye (Coleman) Emerson; four sons, Russell, Timmy, Hubert, & Eddie Emerson; and four daughters, Glenda, Ashley, Brenda Hood, Melinda Madden, & Laura Caudill.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Edward R. Emerson, Ezra Emerson, Alpha Faye Tucker, Vada Mae Ward, Loretta Fern Mullins; a three year old sister; and two sisters, that were twins and passed during infancy.

At the request of the family, services for David Russell Emerson will remain private.
