Denzil Eugene "Snake" McKee, 83, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018.
He was born in Hogue, Kentucky on November 16, 1934, only child of the late William "Bill" and Goldie Dick McKee. He attended Hogue School located next to the "Mill Dam". He worked in the timber industry and was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1957 to 1963 at Fort Knox. Always willing to help friends, family and neighbors, he never met a stranger and was a gifted storyteller. He was a loving husband, devoted father, caring grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Elliott McKee, whom he married on December 30, 1957, three sons, Jerry McKee, Terry & (Fran) McKee and Timmy McKee, one daughter, Lesa & (Lanny) Holt, eight grandchildren, Brandi & (Anthony) Price, Cody McKee, Amber & (Jamie) Singleton, Steve McKee, Doug McKee Mason Holt, Maggie Holt and Jake Elizabeth McKee, five great-grandchildren, Tristen Price, Kylie Price, Connor McKee, Jayla Singleton and Sadie Singleton and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
