Derik Cody Gossett

Derik Cody "Bub" Gossett, 30, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Pulaski County, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the University of Louisville Medical Center.

Cody was born on July 15, 1988 in Somerset, Kentucky to Donald and Sandy Gossett. He graduated from Russell Co. High School and was currently employed by Louisville Packing. Cody was of the Christian faith. Bub, as his family calls him loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his big heart, and his outstanding work ethic.

Cody is survived by his parents, Donald & Sandy Gossett of Jabez; He was a beloved brother to Eric Gossett and Matt Berry of Science Hill, and his two sisters, Chasity and Matt Goff of Jabez, and Bobbi Gossett and Daniel Kingsley of Ohio. He was loved by his two nephews, Cayden Voils and Dylan Goff. Cody also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins who love him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Dean Wilson of Nancy; and his paternal grandparents, Sherman and Virginia Gossett.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 4, 2019 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Beavers officiating.

Burial will be in Sweet Cemetery.

Visitation for Cody Gossett will be after 9 AM Monday, March 4, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
