Dorothy L Adams

Dorothy Adams, age 76, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

She was born October 14, 1947 to the late Edward and Irene (Phelps) Massey in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church of Science Hill. She was a very caring and selfless person. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, and canning.

She is survived by three children, Mike & (Jennifer) Adams, Chris & (Tonya) Adams, and Danel Gossett; ten grandchildren, Christian Adams, Cody Randolph, Cheyenne Adams, Cort Adams, Kenzie Neal, Dalton Adams, Colton Adams, Grace Gossett, Lainey Minahan, and Zac Adams; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ed Massey, and Joe Massey; four sisters, Aldina Massey, Edna Williams, Effie Turner, and Gladys Massey; one son-in-law, Robbie Gossett; and several friends and other family members.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Massey, Don Massey, and Paul Massey; and four sisters, Mary Jolly, Hazel Acey, Angela Massey, and Elizabeth Massey.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Massey and Bro. Charles Wiles officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at 8:30 AM until time for services at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
